Parody Chrysacanthion 'Rubriflora'

Parodia chrysacanthion is a globular or slightly elongated cactus, reaching dimensions of up to 20 cm in height and 9 cm in diameter.

It has a light-green body, covered with numerous areoles from which grow thin, stiff, yellow or brown spines.

Flowering is a remarkable aspect of this species, producing yellow flowers, up to 4 cm in diameter, that appear at the top of the plant. These flowers are in strong contrast with the green body and colorful spines of the cactus.

Parodia chrysacanthion prefers conditions of direct light and well-drained soil, being resistant to drought, but sensitive to frost. It is appreciated in cactus collections for its decorative appearance and attractive flowers.
